North Walsham Rugby Club, NWRFC, is close to the hearts of many of the FOUR family and is one of the area’s most successful local sporting teams.
As such, they needed a brand that reflected this achievement. FOUR was approached to redevelop and strengthen the NWRFC identity, creating a more confident and cohesive brand that respects the club's past and embraces its future.

What we did
The project began with the redevelopment of the club’s logo. We simplified the Viking emblem within the logo lock-up, refining it into a more distinctive mark using fewer, more purposeful strokes.
From there, we developed a wider brand identity and created sub-brands for NWRFC’s different age groups. The shield from the logo became a key brand asset, used to frame imagery and decorate supporting artwork. A bold colour palette was embraced, with the club’s green and gold used confidently throughout.
To support the rollout of the new identity, we created social media templates, match-day posters, and advertising flyers, helping the club take its communications to the next level.
The Challenge
NWRFC has a long and proud history, so it was essential to respect this when redefining the brand. Our goal was to strengthen the foundations already in place rather than replace them. Close communication with the committee played a key role, giving us valuable insight into the club and helping shape the creative direction.
Results
The result is a fully cohesive brand system, supported by four sub-brands that strengthen and futureproof the club’s identity. We delivered the design for a wide range of branded materials and continue to work closely with the club on an ongoing basis.
Reflections
This project is a strong example of how fully immersing ourselves in a brand leads to better outcomes. By understanding the club from the inside out, we created an identity that not only we’re proud of, but one that everyone connected to NWRFC can proudly support.
